ELSTOW BOARD'S AREA.
FUTURE CONTROL OF WORKS.

TE AROHA, Monday
The Lands Department 1 has informed the Elstow Drainage Board that it proposes to place under the board's control all drains constructed under a special agreement with the board on both sides of tho Awaiti Canal. When tho matter was discussed at a meeting of the board, Mr. Carter contended that the department should put tho drains in proper order before asking the board to assume control. It was decided to confer with tho department on this point.
