ARREST OF CAR DRIVER.
FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT. OCCURRENCE AT WANGANUI. [by telegraph.—press association.] WANGANUI, Monday. As a sequel to the fatal motor accident at a street intersection on Saturday evening the driver of the car, George Mason Glenn, was arrested to-day and charged with negligently driving the ear and thereby causing the deaths of Alma Joyce Crothcrs and Michael Connelly. Detective Walsh applied for a remand until February 5, which the magistrate, Mr. J. H. Salmon, granted. Mr. Walsh intimated that the police would be ready to proceed then and to take the inquest at the same time. Bail was allowed.
