PLANTING OF CELERY.
The planting of celery for tho main crop should now have attention. This planting should provide good heads for late autumn and winter use, and there will bo little danger of the plants running to seed as is sometimes the. case with tb« very early raised plants. One of the most important things in the cultivation of good heads of celery is to have the prepared and well manured before planting. In the bottom of each trench place a good thick layer of well decomposed manure and lightly fork in so that it is well incorporated with the soil. Upon this place sufficient good soil so that when planting the roots will not come into immediate contact with the manure.
