LEAGUE FOOTBALLERS.
PLAY OF NEW ZEALANDERS. The success of tho New Zealanders, Hardgravo, Hutt and Hall, has been the means of placing St. Helens in a prominent place in English League football. In a recent gamo against York, St. Helens won by 18 points to 5. Hardgrave was in good form and scored three tries. An English paper, commenting on the game, says:—Hardgravc,' Hutt and Hall were always prominont, doing useful work. The former showed a lot of speed and anticipation, while Hutt was a tower of strength to the forwards. Without doubt, says the writer, St. Helens has been fortunate in securing three such valuable players as the result of its colonial prospecting.
