SCHOOL BOOKS.

Sir,—Quite a high numbpr of the children who were in Deeemberwill be the youngest or . only child in the ■family, and of their school books no fur. ther use will be required. A fair proportion of these children will be tidy little people, whose books are neatly kept. May I suggest to the parents of this group that' the books now finished with be handed 'to the committees dealing with unemployment for distribution among the children of those out of work. I suggest the relief workers rather than the teachers as a distribution in class might lead to invidious distinctions—a torment to sensitive childhood. If the suggestion is adopted, donors would understand the necessity of having the books in before the school year starts. For Others.
