[BY TELEGEAPn.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] IN\ ERCARGILL, Friday. The Summer Meeting of the Southland Racing Club was concluded to-day in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance and the totalisator handled £19,218, against £19,108 on the second day last year, making tho total for tho meeting £39,487 10s, against £10,315 10s last year. Results were:—

At tho conclusion of tho races an inquiry was held into the running of Lucky Light compared with her running in the Wailiopai Handicap on the first day, when sho was unplaced. After hearing tho evidence the judicial committeo unanimously resolved that tho owner's explanation be accepted.

While the inquiry was in progress a section of the crowd staged a demonstration of protest and remained on tho course until the inquiry had concluded.
