LIZARD SKIN SHOES.
Lizard-skin shoes have a disappointing habit of turning a faint yellow, but here is an effcctivo way of restoring them to their original grev-whiteness. Just take two tablespoonfuls of ordinary whitening and mix with a'littlo water to a smooth paste. Now, with a soft rag, spread the mixture thickly over the shoes, rubbing it well in. Leave to dry about twenty minutes, then brush briskly with a clean, stiff brush until almost all the whitening has disappeared. Finally, clean in the usual way with white cream and polish with a soft cloth.
