A BEAUTIFUL SUNSET.
As the sun sank behind the snowcapped mountains in tho west, the clouds began to glow with a soft red light, and the snow turned a pale crimson. SlotvlV it began to grow darker, the clouds grew redder, until the flaming- sun's last scarlet beam rested on the beautiful fleecy cirrus ,-louds, which hung over the mountains ike red blankets. The soft, suffused light grew dimmer, in til the last beam disappeared entirely, he round yellow orb of the full summer moon eamo out, and night reigned .upreme. —By Maurice Cosjrrave.
