THREE WAR HEROES.
VEALE, SAGE AND ONIONS.
Three V.C.'s, Veale, Sage and Onions, are among those who attended the Prince of Wales' dinner at the Houses of Parliament on November 9. These three heroes are all closely associated with Devon. Corporal T. W. H. Veale, who was attached to the Ist Battalion of the Devons, is a Devonshire man. So is private Thomas Henry Sage, who served with the Somerset Light Infantry.. Lance-Corporal—later Lieutenant—George Onions was born in Lancashire but served with the Ist Battalion of the Devons. . " We have not 'met yet," said Corporal Veale before the banquet, ' 4 but there will be a regular pie we do.--
