QUAINT INDIAN GIFT.
Mr. F. O Roberts, the British Minister of Pensions, recently received an inscribed grain of rice'in a glass tube, accompanied bv a, strong magnifying glass, from the Darnlfalah Sadar Bazar, Delhi. The inscription on the gift reads: —" May God bless a. long, happy and prosperous life."
A letter sent with the present says " The staff of the museum respectfully beg to offer a wonderful rice as an humble curio of our museum, hoping your lordship would very kindly be pleased to grant its acceptance.".^
