Excellent, progress was made with tho To Aroha Bowling Club's tournament today until 3.30 p.m. when rain again caused the postponement of the remaining games until to-morrow. The tournament has reached a highly interesting stage and section ties may have to he played in tlireo instances. Kriskovich (To Aroha), last year's winner, won his section fairly easily, receiving fine assistance from his lead J. Heathcote. Cornes (Thames), acting as substitute skip for Clark, beat Carswell (Whitiora) in a section tie over seven heads and will meet the winner of Childcrhouso (Te Aroha) and Tuvton (Iluntly) in the serai-final.

Wallace's seventh round game with Cornes (Mount Eden) was abandoned for tho day, with tho scoro at 14 all, with one head to play. If Wallace wins ho will play off a section tie with Bennett. There were several surprises during tho day,- tho biggest being the defeat of Adamson (Thames) by Bennett by 25 to 3. The finals will be played to-morrow. The weather to-night is boisterous and does not show signs of clearing. The results of to-day's games are as follows: —

An all-day bowling tournament was held on the Tauranga South green yesterday in which 32 players took part. Full rinks were played, the skips and thirds remaining together all days, and the leads and the seconds also playing together. Phillips and Boon won tho skips section and Miller and Lindsay the leads.
