FATHER'S GIFT OF £IOOO.

ESTABLISHING COLLEGE BURSARY [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Wednesday. The Wellington College Board of Governors has received a letter from Mr. John Gallie, of Kelburn, advising that he has paid to the Public Trustee £IOOO to bo invested, the interest to be paid to the board for the establishment of a college bursary to perpetuate the memory of Mr. Gallie's two sons who made the supreme sacrifice in the Great "War.

They were Captain Oscar E. Gailie, D.5.0., M.C., R.F.A., and Captain Victor J. Gailie, M.C., Croix de Guerre,, R.F. A. The donor expressed the desire that the bursary might stimulate the recipient to emulate his sons, both "old boys" of tbe college, in character, patriotism and devotion to duty. The gift was gratefully received by th§ board.
