THE QUEEN'S FLOWERS.
Like Princess Mary and Hie Duchess of York, the Queen keeps one room in which she always arranges the (lowers herself, and it is here that she has enjoyed placing large bowls filled with tawny gold chrysanthemums, red leaves and autumn berries, writes one who knows. Disguised as a golden casket is a wonderful new loud-speakei. \ lady friend of mine lives at Hattersea and when J had lea with her recently, she told me all about the surprise visit the Queen paid to TJattersea Parkin the summer, to see the Old English Garden there. Battersea, of course, was delighted with its Royal recognition. A little while ago it was being called "Princess Elizabeth's Park," owing to the frequency of this little lady s \isils.
