THE TREES.
As I look from the old kitchen window, A garden in splendour T see. And each green-leafed tree in the hedgerow Whispers a story to me.
I t:(i old bnllc-ss Oak in the corner Is weary and tired as in dreams. Jt is telling the young budding Hawthorn That life is not as it seems.
The Camellia in bloom, bright, with splendour. Is singing a song for all. While the bushy crimson Teeonm Smiles up at the Poplar so tall. But though these are all green and lovely, There arc none to match the tree. Way down in the furthest corner, Lilac's the tree for me! <—( Original). Madge Keir, <5, Garland Road, Groon Lano.
