The rabbitter, in reporting to the board at its quarterly meeting last week, submitted a statement of his activities in the board's district, and also at Okau, adding a footnote that in his opinion the rabbits were spreading/from the Okau district. Tin chairman, Mr. N. R. Cleland, ■pointed out that during his visit to Okau, ,which was'in the Clifton County area, tho rabbitter had killed 17 rabbits. The owners of the property had been notified that they would be prosecuted unless action was taken. He held that it was time that something was done in the Okau district. It was through threats ® prosecution- that the Whangamomona ißabbit Board was formed, and it was now acting as the buffer.
