PROPERTY SALES.
* A freehold property in Durham Street was offered at auction yesterday by Messrs. Rutherford, Robinpon and Austin. Situated 120 ft. from Queen Street, the land has a frontage of 102 ft. to Durham Street and a dopth of about Gift. No sale was effected, either of the property as a vvholo or of the four sections into which it is divided. For the whole bidding was started at £7500 and was carried slowly to £ 11,900, at which figure it was passed in, the vendor's reserve not having beon reached. The two boundary sections were offered with similar result. No. 1 was bid to £l2O a foot and No. 4 to £127 10s. A villa of six rooms in Mountain Road, Mount Albert, offered at_ auction by Samuel Vaile and Sons, Limitcdi yesterday, was sold for £535.
