INSPECTION OF NAVY TO-DAY.
PUKEKOHE VISIT TO-MORROW.
The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, was fully occupied by public engagements yesterday. The first was at 9.30 a.m., when he attended the Maori ceremony at the War Memorial Museum. At mid-day he and Lady Alice I.ergusson received a deputation from the Auckland Presbytery. Sir Charles was the guest of the Rotary Club ai luncheon and gave an address. Later in the afternoon he paid a farewell visit to King s College.
His Excellency's only engagement for to-day is a visit to the warships in port and inspection of the ships' companies. At 2.30 p.m. to-morrow His Excellency will unveil two memorials at the Puke* kohs East Presbyterian Church, one being to the Europeans and the other to the natives who fell jluring the engagement there on September 14, 1863. Their Excellencies leave for Hamilton by tho limited express to-morrow eveni»g- •
