Six natives have been sentenced to death for the murder of seven occupants of a kraal. The ovidence established that the natives believed the owner of the kraal was responsible for black magic, which caused several deaths in the neighbourhood.

A native barrister pleaded for mercy on the ground that the natives were unpolled by religious fanatacism, which would continue until another Eastern Star appeared. The Court indicated its support of the recommendation for mercy.
