DOMINION AVIATION.

AMPHIBIAN FOR WELLINGTON

CONSTRUCTION IN ENGLAND. LONDON. Nov. 27. Messrs. Saunders and Roe are building a machine of the same amphibian typo as that for service between Tasmania and the Australian mainland, for use in the New Zealand air service from Wellington. It will be tested in about a fortnight.

Messrs. Saunders and Roe are expecting shortly to complete at their Cowes works a novel form of aircraft for an airline between the Australian mainland and Tasmania.

This is a flying-boat which can be made into an amphibian in the event of a forced descent in the sea. The machine will be kept afloat by wings. It will be very fast, and driven by two engines controlled from the cabin. It will be named the "Cutty Sark."
