LARGE TOTAL IN CANADA. RETURN OF ABOUT £2,600,000. [from our own correspondent. 1 VANCOUVER, Oct. 30. Following the recent Hague settlement n return is to be made of German property in Canada taken over during the war. Its gross value is about £2,600,000, comprising real estate, bonds and corporate securities.
German property in Canada is of two classes: Liquidated property, valued at £2.200,000, and tho balance of £<loo,ooo, unliquidated. Litigation is now pending for the control of certain farh) securities
The property may lie returned through (he German Government, acting as agent for Canada, subject to guarantee of indemnify against future litigation, or transfer at Ottawa on proof of lille. The exact method has. not y&t been decided, pending return of the Custodian of ExEnemy Property from Berlin.
