WELLINGTON, Thursday

Before the close of last session of Parliament it was decided that the Industries and Commerce Committee of the House of Representatives should conduct an inquiry, in the recess, into the secondary industries of New Zealand, with a view to ascertaining how their welfare could be promoted To-day the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. J. G. Cobbe, said it was unlikely that the committee would begin its inquiries before February or March next year.
