GREAT BOOM IN BOMBAY*

Because the Act forbidding child marriages, that was passed by the Legislative Assembly, does not come into operation until April children are being married en masse in Bombay at present, and 2000 are beini married at Surat alons.
The .boom has already led to a demand for exorbitant dowries, and the moueylenders at Gujarat are said to be doing a roaring business.
