' . REVIEW OF THE FIELDS. BY PICADOR. Fifteen slow-class trotters are engaged in the Innovation Handicap and they should provide an interesting contest. The limit division is not strong and the winner may tomo from further back. Raugitero and Audo Spray are nicely placed ou 12 yards and should run prominently, while Mat Voyage and Togo's Promise, both on 21 yards, should also be in the picture. Sweet Memory is a possibility, and the best of the others may bo Paradigm and Direct Action. Rangitero, Audo Spray and Mat .Voyage may be fancied. Some useful pacers figure in the Epsom Handicap and the event bears an open aspect. Haroto, Enawah, Arachne, Kelp end Benefice should all race well from the limit, while First. Flight, Sailor Boy and Limosa, who are on 12 yards, are also likely to show up. Luck in the early running will be an important factor and the draw for barrier positions may bo worth noting. Jt should bo a solid betting race and backers may show a preference for Enawah. Arachne and First Flight. The Franklin Handicap has attracted a nice field and there are many with chances. Explosion and Mountain Dell appear to bo the pick of the limit division, while Tony Victor should be a decided possibility off 12 yards. Florent is on the improve and should go well off 36 yards. Reremai, on the san.e mark, must also have an excellent chance, and the back-marker, Rockburn, is also entitled to serious consideration, iis his recent form has been good. Explosion, Mountain Dell and Reremai may be in demand. The Fergusfion Handicap is decidedly open and promises to ban. spectacular con/test." Wilma Dillon, although ho failed on the first day. should make a bold showing off the limit, and Nelson Tasker. Gold Dit>! and Eockburn, all on 51 yards, are all likely (o be in the picture. Torpedo Huon and Native Prince appear to be the best prospects of those near the middle of the handicap, while the back-markers. The Abbey and Gold Jacket, cannot be entirely passed over, despite the starts they are conceding to tho others. The wagering Bhould be solid and tho prime fancies may include Xelson Taskcr, Wilma Dillon and Native Prince. Eleven straight-out trotters are carded for the Visitors' Handicap and they should provide a good race. First day s form suggests Floraline. Tradesman and Peter McKinney as likely to race prominently end they should make it interesting. Etta Cole ar.d Gold Sovereign may allow improvement on this occasion, while the best of the back-markers may be Hose Bingen and Tiger Salvo. It should bo a solid betting race and som» who may command strong support are Gold Sovereign, Rose Bingen and l'efer McKinncy. 'Hie I'apaloetoe Handicap haa drawn a. field of nine and among the number arc tome improving pacers, who may be capable of doing better than handicapped to do. Polly's Picture and First Flight may be the' best of tho four horses on the limit, nii<] Limosa, on 12 yards, is capable of showing up if she begins correctly. Pelcr Pirate won well nt his last start and should he dangerous in this class, although he will require to step merrily to beat the improving Belle Axworthy o(T the panic mark. Lcrd Xepeun and Concertina have not raced well lately and may find it difficult, although they would hav» undoubted chances if they reproduced their best form, i'efer Pirate, Belle Axworthy and First Plight will probably be the favourites. All ihe speed merchants are in the Spring Handicap and it should be one of tho best races of the day. AVilma Dillon, Ven dome, Cold Dial and Carmel, all on 12 yards, are likely to make it difficult for thoso further hack and tho winner may come from this division, although" Tho Shrew and Free Advice may be handy enough to have Machine Gun and Native l'rinco may also go well, although they will need to go fast to beat the improvers near Iho front of ihe handicap. Wilma Dillon, Vondomo and Carmel may be solidly supported. , The Royal Oak Handicap, Iho mile saddle rtash, lias drawn a solid field and may be difficult to win. Cornelian. Vanity Boy and Dick Dillon may- go well off tho limit, '•'hile Benefice. Brutus and Master Hum, who are on 12 yards, arc all handy enough to" be in the firing line at the finish. Stannioor is well, but he may be just too far tack (o score. Brutus, Master Huia and /Cornelian are likely to be among tho litßt backed.
