The'most seasoned tenuis players sometimes forget details in their dress, and many irritating consequences result. Here arc a few hints that are sure to prove invaluable during the.: present season. Dresses. —Three is the minimum number to ensure a reliable supply. Very shortsleeved ones arc best. Long sleeves cause an extra amount of tension being put on. the whole which results in premature rents. Pleated skirts are preferable to plain. They allow plenty of freedom in running. Choose, if possible, these three classes of materials. For chilly (lays, silk, for temperate days, cotton, for extra hot days, artificial silk. Wash them i;egularlv. Bandeau.—Not popular, but very serviceable. Don't fasten too tight. Head movements soon snap taut fibres. When washing add a little salt. Sunshade Cap.—ln the rays of strong .sunlight this in invaluable. Remember that is worn as a head protector. Consequently, do not choose coloured caps.
Colour. —Pink, blue and darkish greens are about the safest to wear. There are faster colours than these. However, against the background of tennis atmospheres they hardly show up as well.
