THE BEST PARTNER.
The Prince of Wales is as full of fun, sometimes, as a boy, and can give, as well as take, chaff. ITe was dancing with a very naive and charming debutante not long ago—it was at her first ball—and when tho fox-trot was finished, turning to her, he smiled and asked: "Now! Who would you point out as the best dancer in this room?" " Oh! Lord A., of course!" answered the girl. Any other of the debutantes there would have said, " Why, you, of course." The Prince laughed, and hailing bis friend, "Here, A!" he cried: "Come and dance with Lady 8,, for she thinks you're the best of all the partners hero!"
