n TTTTO m & Checker pioneered meter taxi-cab operation in Auckland, an controls the largest taxi-cab fleet in New Zealand. Checker j rates are the lowest in Auckland, although the service is second to none. As this meter does not now register the correct fare, it is neces' sarv to discount the meter fare as follows:—When the meter records 1/3 or 1/9, pay 1/3:2/3 or 2/9. pay 2/-; 3/3 up to 5/9, pay 2/6. 6/3 and over, deduct 3/i rrom meter fare. If you are under the impression that the wrong fare ha 3 been charged request a receipt from the driver or take cab registered or' driver's number and communicate direct with office. Checker are now able to book orders and clients are recommended to ring 46-800- and thus avoid disappointment. Checker ■ rates are really the lowest-in Auckland, because no competitor charges less or even the same for distances up to two miles or over five miles, 2/6 for 5 miles.
