NEW ORGANISATION MEETS. MANY WOMEN ENROLLED. / [BT TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORJIEPPONDENT., ) WELLINGTON, Krida:. The first meeting of members of the New Zealand Political Association was helri (his week, Mr. Edwin .Salmon*! presiding. The chairman referred to the success achieved by the association since, its inauguration last August. He said the membership was extremely satisfactory, ,and rapidly increasing. The object of the association was not, to form a new party but to induce citizens of attainment, to differ themselves as candidates for Parliament. Jt was extremely gratifying to report that, an unusually large number of women had been enrolled as members. Wellington so far had been the only centre ; n which efforts had been made to enrol members, hut later it,was in tended to form branches in the three other centres, with sub-branches in various electorates.
