BANKRUPT BUTCHER.
BAD DEBTS BLAMED. NO CREDITORS AT MEETING. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN* COH RESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Thursday. No creditors attended the meeting called to consider the bankruptcy of Hugh Mclntyrc, butcher, of Hamilton. Bankrupt was briefly examined by the assignee, Mr. <J. H. Robertson. Liabilities were slated at £122 16s sd. Book debts shown at £92 8s Id were estimated to produce £SO, leaving a deficit of £72 16s sd. Bankrupt's statement showed that ho had begun business in a butchery at Ohaupo in .1925. This business ho had sold about 18 months ago, and, with the proceeds, had paid the greater part of his debts. He found that he was making very little profit. If ho had succeeded in collecting all the debts owing to him at Ohaupo he would have been able to meet all liabilities. He was out of work and had been compelled to file, as a creditor had taken proceedings against him.
The assignee said bankrupt had put in a full statement and he adjourned the meeting.
