MARRIAGE OF PRINCE.
REQUEST MADE TO ITALIANS. ASKED NOT TO SEND GIFTS. / (Received November 5, 6.25 p.m.) ROME. Nov. 4. Crown Prince Humbert of Italy has asked Italians not to send him wedding presents on the occasion of his marriage to Princess Marie Jose of Belgium, but to devote the money to pious works. It is expected that the Duke and Duchess of York will attend the wedding. TRIAL OF ASSAILANT. REMAND BY BELGIAN COURT. BRUSSELS, Oct. 30. Di Rosa, the Italian who attempted to assassinate Crown Prince Humbert of Italy while he was placing a wreath on the Cenotaph, following his betrothal to Princess Marie Jose, has been remanded for a month. When asked whether he wished to apply for a provisional release, Di Rosa replied: "If I asked for my liberty I should be repudiating my act." Replying to another question, he said: "I request that I come before a Belgian Court, in order that it may judge me and establish my responsibility"
