GIFTS FOR LEPERS.
RESPONSE TO APPEAL".
Christmas gifts intended for the lepers on Makogai Island are now being collected by Mr. D. L, Thomas, of 14, Do- - main Road, Mount Albert, and it is requested that all gifts should be forwarded to him by November 25. The presents will be shipped to tho island by the , Tofua, which leaves on November 30. There has been a generous response to the appeal, and replies have been received . from all parts of the North Island as'well as from Lyttelton end other places, : There is still a shortage of articles suitable for children, such as. toys, dolls and fishing lines, and it is hoped that soniu such contributions will be forthcoming
