EDENDALE DISTRICT.
PROPOSAL TO CHANGE NAME. A meeting of residents of Edendale to consider tho proposal to change the name of tho district was held this week, Mr. Bruce Scott presiding. Mr. F. J. H. Harrison, tho convener, explained tho object of the meeting. As there was nn Edendale postal district in tho South Island confusion in mail deliveries was caused. The Auckland district was strictly Edendale North, It was suggested that tho name should bo altered to Sandringham, and also that Edendale Road should bo changed to Sandrujgham Road. ■ It was decided that steps should be taken to have tho namo of tho district altered. It was stated that a P Gt . was being circulated, and that " tatiou would wail upon tho Mount Albeit Borough Council.
