Commander F. N. Attwood, who has relinquished command of H.M.S. Laburnum, his term of service in . NewZealand waters having expired, left by the Aorangi for Sydney last evening. The command of the warship has been taken over by Commander C. E. Hotham.
The Kev. H. Taylor, of Birmingham, arrived at Auckland by the Maheno yesterday en route to Niue Island, where he will be stationed by the London Missionary Society in place of the Rev. C. Reharcll, who has gone to. Brisbane. Mr. Taylor, who is accompanied by. Mrs. Taylor, will proceed to Niue on the Maui Pomare.
