NET PROFIT OIF £422,000. DIVIDEND OF 17 PER CENT. DaJgety and Company, Limited, have received advice from their head office in London that at the annual meeting, to be held on November 14, the directors will recommend declaring a final dividend of 3 per cent., making (with interim dividend already paid) 10 per cent, for the year ended June 30 last, together with a bcftius of 7s a share. .The dividend and bonus are payable on November 18. Large supplies of strawberries at comparatively reasonable prices were available at the Auckland City Markets yesterday, and a special sale will hei held this morning. Apples were very scarce, the demand, which ba:i been fluctuating for some time, being improved. Supplies of pears have practically finished. There was a good demand f: r Island oranges, the other varieties meeting with only a fair response. Lemons continued to be dull of sale. There irere no outstanding changes in the other lines. The field produce market was heavily supplied with new potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower and swedes. Lart:;e stcoks of green peas, broad beans and all. lines of root vegetables wens available). There was a fair demand. Both new and southern potatoes hare decreased in price. Cabbage and cauliflower sold at considerably reduced values. The prices for most of the other lines showed an easing tendency. There was a medium supply of poultry, the prices remaining about the same as last week. A keen demand existed for table birds. Turkey hens brought 5s to 8s each and gobbler!! 8s to 15s each. A decrease of about !!d a poupd in the price of farmers' butter was the only change in the dairy produce section. There was the usual demand for plentiful supplies of hen eggs, but large stocks of duck eggs met with a poor response. Increased supplies of farmers' butter were very slow of sale.
