Do you find that yoar ribbon shoulderstraps wear out ever so much sooner than the undies they hold up, and that they cost quite a lot to renew ? If you make them of the same material as yo'ur petticoats and cami-knicKers they will last every Lit as long—and won't cost a pennv, for there are always strips left over after cutting out the garments. They can be just as dainty as ribbon straps, too, ii you take the trouble to hemstitch ihem, and they are ever so tnnch stronger. _ . Von will need two strips of material, each about eighteen inches long by two and a half wide (this a good margin for turning in and sewing on at each end). Draw three or four threads lengthways down the middle of each strip.
