FISH ON MAIN ROADS.
INCIDENT OF BIG FLOOD.: Owing to four hours of torrential rainfall in Merionethshire serious damage was done by floods in August. .All motor traffic was suspended as the roads were impassable. Motorists were stranded for hours at Llanbedr. near Barmouth. -where the river overflowed, flooding the houses. Fish were seen jumping along, the mam roads. Bus services from Maentwrog to Blaenal Festiniog were suspended owing to the water being niany feet high along the roads. Fields were like hitgs lakes, and farmers waist deep- m wanirr ■were rescuing sheep.
