AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS.
CARPENTER'S SEVERE FALL*< WOMAN STRUCK BY CYCLIST. Through falling from a ladder while working on a building in Grange Road, Mount Eden, yesterday morning, Mr* Harry Houghton, aged 63, carpenter, sustained a fracture of the pelvis and severe abrasions to the head and arms. Ho was admitted to the Auckland Hospital, and, last evening his condition was stated to be serious. - An elderly woman, Mrs. Thwaites, of 26, Koraha Street, Remuera, sustained a fractured rib and a severe cut on the head as the result of being knocked down by a cyclist at the corner of Remuera Road and Lucerne Road yesterday afternoon. The injured woman, who was suffering from shock, was attended to by Dr. J. H. H. Wood, and later was removed to her home. The injuries are not considered to be serious. A Dalmatian, Kris Unkovich, employed at the Public Works Department camp at Kohimarama, was admitted to the hospital yesterday afternoon suffering from injuries to the back. His condition last evening was reported to bo not serious.
