A GARDEN PARTY.

In connection with tho annual conference of tho Methodist Women's Missionary Union, now being held in Auckland, a garden party was given by Miss E. Winstono, president of tho Pitt Street Church branch of the union, at her homo in Mount Eden Road yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, light showers fell during tho afternoon, and tho guests were driven indoors. Seats, however, wero arranged on tho wido verandahs, and hero afternoon tea was served, whilo gramophono 'music also added to tho pleasuro of the occasion. A largo number of peoplo attendod, tho guests including visiting and Auckland delegates to the conforenco and other interested friends.
