OBITUARY.
MRS. HENRY CO'OK. A familiar figure at New Zealand croquot tournaments, Mrs. Henry Cook, aged 83. died at her residence, Karori, Wellington, last week. Mrs. Cook arrived in New Zealand with her family at the age of 14. She was married to Mr. James Stoddart. and. after his death, to the late Mr. Honry Cook; who predeceased her about four years ago. Mrs. Cook was a koen croquet player. She was a founder of the Karori Croquet Club and tho new Rangimaire Club. MR. JOHN LETHBRIDGE. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] DUNEDIN. Monday. Tho death occurred at Dunodin yesterday of Mr. John Lethbridge, who for many years was closely identified with tho commercial life of the city. Mr. Lethbridge was born in Devonshire about 1858. On his arrival in New Zealand as a young man ho secured a position with Messrs. Dalgety and Company. About 1890 he was given the management of tho Dunedin branch of tho firm, a position which he held until his retirement in 1923. Mr. Lethbridge was chairman of directors of Donaghy's Rope and Twine Company, and was also a director of the Mosgiel Woollen Company. Ho held positions on the directorates of the Dunedin Saleyards Company and the Victoria Insurance Company. Ho is survived by a widow, one son and one daughter. MRS. AGNES NOBLE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAUPO. Monday. Tho funeral of the late Mrs. Agnes Noble was held this afternoon. Tho interment took place in tho old military cemetery, the service being conducted by the Rev. J. Laughton. Addresses were given by Tamati Te Kurupae, Waaka Hunia and Paora Rokino, leading Taupo Maoris, and the only local survivors of the Armed Constabulary days. They referred to deceased as being regarded by them as a member of the Tuwharetoa tribe and as a lifelong friend of the Maori people.,
