DEPRESSION ANTICIPATED. '/ HERTZOG ISSUES WARNING, Australian and N.Z. Press Association. CAPETOWN, Oct. 18. At tho close of tho Bloemfontein Congress the Prime Minister, General J. B. Hertzog, while deprecating panic, urged tho delegates to warn the people of an impending economic depression. Ho said he felt that the people wore living extravagantly. General Hertzog said it was anticipated that 1930 would be the worst period that South Africa would have had for many years, which he hoped would drive homo the necessity to save in years of plenty.
