PEA-RIFLE ACCIDENT.
MOTHER WOUNDED BY SON.
Mrs. IT. Fitz, a resident of Hartley Valo, near Litligow, New South \\ ales, was admitted to hospital recently in. a serious condition as tho residt of a shooting accident. She was standing on the verandah of her homo with her liftle son, when tho latter picked up a pea rifle, which was leaning against tho wall, and, under tho impression tbat it was unloaded, was pointing it at various objects. Suddenly the weapon exploded, tho bullet penetrating his mother's bnclc. Mrs. Fitz was hurried to Litligow by car, and admitted to hospital suffering from loss of blood.
