Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith is visiting Santa Maria, California. Ho conferred with Captain Hancock, who financed the' flight of tho Southern Cross from America to Australia, g The airman announces that the Southern Cross will be taken to Santa Maria from Europe as soon as backing has been secured for a transatlantic and transcontinental flight. His companions would be Flight-Lieutenant Ulm and Messrs. Litchfield and McWilliams.
