ft very good bracing treatment for tho eyes is to bathe them first, and then apply tho beaten white of an egg to tho flesh around thorn, gently patting it in place until it is dry. You will feel the flesh tingling beneath the mask, which this forms. Removo the mask with warm water and then finish by giving tho eyes a cold douche. Egg is a wonderful astringent. Keep the yolk for a shampoo for your hair. When wo aro young v.*o most of us havo pretty lights playing about our hair. It is soft and easy to arrango, and its colour 1 is as good as it ever will be. Wo can abuso it, neglect it, and torture it, and still it seems unharmed. But don't run away with tho idea that it will remain so for long. Jt is absolutely essential to brush the hair regularly; brushing removes tho old hair better than a comb. Don't worry when tho brush has long TTairs on it. They havo to eorno out to make room for tho new. Brushing is a fine stimulant for tho scalp.
