FATAL FALL FROM TRAIN.
MARRIED WOMAN'S DEATH.
EVIDENCE AT THE INQUEST.
[BV TELEGRAPH.—KRESS ASSOCIATION.] WAIMATE, Friday. At the inquest at .Waimate to-day before the coroner, Mr. George Dash,'concorning tho death of. Mrs. P. D. Leahy, who fell froiVan express .train near St. Andrews on October, 5, the evidence showed that -Mrs. Leahy had gone out on to the platform for fresh air. The platform gates were closed previously, but when approaching St. Andrews she was seen leaning out with her handkerchief to her mouth. Presumably she fainted just past St. Andrews, falling out on to her head, fracturing her skull and dying within a minute of the arrival of tho station officer. ~ * A verdict was returned that she had been accidentally, killed through falling from tho train.
