FRUIT FROM THE ISLANDS.
THE WAIPAHI'S ITINERARY.
Having made her last trip to the Cook Islands this year, the Union Company's steamer Waipahi left Karotonga for Auckland yesterday with a cargo of fruit and other Island produce. She is due about Wednesday morning.
Although the vessel will not return to the Cook Islands this year she is to make two trips to other islands before Christmas. The company has made arrangements for her to load fruit at Apia for Auckland on October 31, and in anticipation of the extra demand for fruit on account of the. Christmas trade sho is scheduled .to load at Suva on December 5 and to reach Auckland about five days later. Fruit cargoes will alr.o bo brought by the Tofua, which is scheduled to load at Suva as usual on November 21 and December 19.
