The wheat pool has arranged for four more steamers to take wheat from Lyttelton to-Britain. It is statod that the Port Melbourne will sail next week with about 4000 tons, on board, of which afcout 500 tons will be shipped at Tirnaru. Further shipments will be made by the Raranga on October 10, and the Remuera and the Tamaroa later in the same month.
The wheat pool reports that local prices are on the increase. Present quotations are milling Tuscan, 6s 5d a bushel, f.0.b., sacks in, and good fowl wheat (spread; delivery over October-December), 6s, f.0.b., sacks in.
