RAINBOW FAIR.
The annual rainbow fair held in connection with St. George's Presbyterian Church at Takapuna took place yesterday afternoon in the Foresters' Hall. The stalls and stage were most attractive, rainbow streamers having been used with pleasing effect. Before the opening Mrs. R. N. S. Chisholm sang and was accompanied by Mrs. J. Howie. The Rev. Morgan Richards, who was accompanied by Mrs. Richards, introduced the Mayoress of Takapuna, Mrs. J. W. Williamson. who declared the fair open, (.'berry Million presented her with a bouciuetof yellotv Howers. A cooking demonstration was given by Mrs. Johnstono and Mrs. Campbell. Afternoon tea was served by Mrs. G. Galbraith, Mrs. M. Galbraith, Mrs. Le Clare, Miss Robertson, Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Gittos and Mrs. Percy Robertson. The ladies in charge of the various stalls werQ: —Aprons, Mrs. Salmond and Mrs. Mills: produce, Mrs. Nicks, Mrs. Rteole and helpers: refreshments, Mrs. Lamb and Miss K. Brown; cakes. Mrs. Lisk, Mrs. Buchanan ?nd Mrs. Baldwin; sweets, Mrs. Colvin, Miss Ella Weston and Bible Class girls; work stall, Mrs. G. Howie and Mrs. MacMurtrie; fancy stall, Mrs. Ewing, Mrs. Gordon and Mrs. Loyden; Noah's Ark, Mrs. Maw and Mrs. Forkes; flowers, Mrs. Douglas, Miss Sommerville, Miss Jackson, and Miss D'Esterre; the Pot of Gold, Mrs. Rowe.
