WARKWORTH TOWN BAND.
GOOD PROGRESS MADE.
ARRANGEMENTS FOR FUTURE. [BY TELEGRAPH." —OWN CORRESPONDENT".] -WARIvWORTH, Friday. The recently reorganised Warkworth Town Band has made remarkable progress since its first practice about three months ago. A series of Sunday afternoon concerts has been arranged, and already the band has playod at Matakana. It is the intention to give programmes at Leigh, Port Albert and other places in rotation, following the concert at Leigh nest Sunday. A carnival is being arranged at Warkworth for Labour Day in aid of the band's instrument and uniform fund. Sports events of all descriptions are scheduled. The band's affairs are controlled by a committee headed by Mr. Charles O'Brien. The band has now an active list of 25 players, under the baton of Mr. <T. M. Peebles, formerly well-known in the Waikato, Coromandel, Waihi and Tauranga districts.
