BUILDING IN WELLINGTON.
THE CONSECRATION CEREMONY

The new synagogue .of the Jewish congregation was consecrated to-day in beautiful weather. There was a large attendance for the ceremony, which was performed by Rabbi H. Van Stavcren (Wellington), Rabbi S. A. Goldstein (Auckland), the Rev. C. Pitowsky (Wellington) and the Rev. A. Astor (Dunedin). Mr. P. Myers, president of the Wellington Hebrew congregation, declared the new synagogue open and the Chief Justice. Hon. M. Myers, unveiled a tablet in the vestibulo commomorating the foundation of the synagogue and recording the names of ministers and honorary officers.
