Leslio Sutton, a nowsboy, agod fourteen, was found hiddon on board the Antarctic exploration ship Discovery after she had put out to sea. Every boy and overy man who has been a boy has wanted at ono time or another to run away to sea and explore tho world. Leslie Sutton did run away to soa, and ho choso tho most famous adventure ship in tho world—Scott's and Shackleton's Discovery, now on her way to tho Antarctic onco moro on a three years' voyage of discovery. Leslio Sutton wanted to explore tho world. He was always down at Cardiff docks looking at the ships. Thea tho Discovery put in, on her way from London. Leslie Sutton was drawn to her as if by a magnet. Ho knew sho was off to tho South Seas. Ho finished selling his papers and ran down to tho docks to see hor. , That night, not saying a word to his father and mother, Leslie slipped out of tho house and made for the docks. Ho fot aboard unseen, climbed into ono of )i9covery's lifeboats and lay hidden under tho tarpaulin cover. Thore was a dramatic last-minute hunt for stowaways before Discovery left Cardiff, but the boy was not discovered then.' It was later, whon tho ship was out in the Bristol Channel, that ho was found.
