STRICTURES ON FRANCE.
RUSSIAN AIRMAN'S VIEWS.
MISERABLE, DIRTY COUNTRY.
Australian and N.Z. Press Association. PARIS. Sept. 19.
Two Russian airmen who recently visited France in the courso of a European tour in tho aeroplane Wing of the Soviet, appear not to be enamoured of Franco and the French people. One of tho aviators writing to a Moscow newspapor says: " France is miserable and dirty. She is behind tho times. Even tho policemen who welcomed us at Le Bourget wero shockingly ditty. " A gendarme who examined our papers had his moustache full of bread crumbs and smelt shockingly of drink. Every day something was stolon from onr machine. " After a visit to the Chamber of Deputies we gained tho impression that the members had tho appearance of little bankers with their prominent stomachs and doubtful linen."
